Phish to Bring Jam Band Sounds Live to Select U.S. Cities in Summer of Mini-Residencies.

PhishSummer2016TourPhish has announced their tour in limited locations in North America during the summer of 2016. Some of their shows will be at the Billy Graham Civic Center, the Mann, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Gorge and Wrigley Field. The band has toured through the above mentioned centers and amphitheaters before. Phish plans to end their tour at the Dick Sporting Goods Park. The band has been together since 1983, which is going on 33 years. That is extremely impressive for a rock band. That being said, it’s no wonder that they’re slowing down and taking longer breaks in between tours.

Phish will be starting with a concert in Xcel Energy Center, which they haven’t been in 16 years. Phish just hosted their first destination festival in Mexico in January 2016. There are rumors that the band may tour through Europe as well but this hasn’t been confirmed. Phish just completed a successful 2015 tour on January 2nd, ending with a four-night concert in Madison Square Garden. Even though the band has been together for over two decades, fans still say that there is no substitution for a camp-out for a Phish concert.

There appears to be no end to what Phish is still capable of. Who knows what they will do next? We’re just as impatient as you are to see.

The Last Shadow Puppets Touring the UK/Europe. Heading to the U.S. and Coachella This Spring!

TLSP-2016UKTourEnglish super group The Last Shadow Puppets are setting out on what is promising to be an epic tour. As of right now, they have twenty gigs lined up across Europe and America, almost half of which are already sold out. Fans can catch them in June at the Primavera Festival in Barcelona as well as in July at the Open’er Festival in Poland. Just added to the lineup are two festival shows in Italy where you can find the group headlining alongside a number of other popular artists, including Red Hot Chili Peppers and Florence + The Machine. Even more exciting is the bands first appearance at Coachella this year. They will land stateside for their first American show in New York, after which they will head to California and play a series of shows, two of which include gigs at the popular West Coast festival.

Although founding member Alex Turner has played his way through many shows at California’s Coachella as head member of the praised English, indie-rock band Arctic Monkeys, the sets the singer is playing with his newest musical venture, The Last Shadow Puppets, is expected to be attended just as widely. However, if fans find themselves yearning for some classic Turner, they can also catch him playing sets with the Arctic Monkeys at Coachella, for the fifth year in a row.

Along with some of their older hits, the group will be playing songs from their first-ever album entitled Everything You’ve Come To Expect, which is set to be released April 1st of this year. Since Alex Turner first started the collaboration with other TLSP member, Miles Kane, in 2008, the group’s music has taken off almost as successfully as the Arctic Monkeys did when they first hit the scene.

Due to busy schedules, the band members have had to wait until this Spring to release their music on an album, but the long wait fans have endured has only fueled the excitement for the groups 2016 ventures. This tour is expected to be promising, considering the already sold out shows across Europe, and will be the first of many for the band.

The UK leg of the tour will see the Shadow Puppets play sold out Edinburgh, London, Liverpool, Sheffield club shows in late-March/early-April before playing bigger summer shows in Manchester, Bridlington, Bournemouth, and London (two gigs at Alexandra Palace on 15th and 16th July). They’ll also play Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on 26th May.

British Indie Rockers Bloc Party Rolling South By Southwest on North American Tour.

BlocPartyBand1Since their hiatus in 2013 indie rock band, Bloc Party have returned with their fifth album Hymns. The band will be kicking off the North American leg of their tour in March with a stop in Austin, Texas at the South by South West festival, quickly followed by the McDowell Mountain Festival in Phoenix, Arizona. Bloc Party will also play at The Georgia Shaky Knees Festival, as well as New York’s Governors Ball in the summer. The Vaccines and MS MR will be opening up for Bloc Party on selected dates.

In 2003 Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack formed Bloc Party with former members Matt Tong and Gordon Moakes. Kele and Russell met up again at the Reading Music Festival and decided to form a band. The groups London musical roots are firmly entrenched in influences such as The Cure, Mogwai, Siouxsie and the Banshees, David Bowie and Radiohead. Their release of their debut album Silent Alarm in 2005 showcases these influences. Silent Alarm was voted Album of the Year in 2005 and was certified platinum.

Hymns features new band members Justin Harris (Bass) and Louise Bartle (Drums). Hymns is an unusual mix of styles returning to the groups electronica and alternative dance roots. It’s also heavily influenced by blues and gospel rock, also a stipped down indie rock feel.

The album came out January 29th, and reached the 12th spot on the UK albums chart, while cracking the US Billboard 200 behind tracks “The Love Within,” “The Good News,” and “Virtue.”

The Vaccines are touring behind their third album, English Graffiti, which came out in spring 2015 and features singles “Dream Lover” and “Handsome.”

MS MR will bring their energetic dream pop style of music live to the stage along with songs “Fantasy,” “Hurricane,” “Think of You.”

Disclosure’s 2016 North American ‘Caracal’ Tour: Pure Electronic Energy.

DisclosureCaracalAmericanTour2016Brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence, as the duo electronic music artists of Disclosure, are bringing their innovative music to the world. Since their 2013 global tour of music festivals in Europe, Canada and America, they have established a precedent of high energy performances. It’s not surprising that they would tour again in 2016 to promote their second album Caracal. With twelve countries featuring their music on top 40 radio, the siblings from the United Kingdom are already touring stars.

The 2016 North American tour is scheduled to touch base in several U.S. states, including California, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Delaware. Some high profile venues are the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado; The Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington, the Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Boston Calling Festival in Massachusetts. The Disclosure duo can be counted on to deliver performances that are filled with percussive energy, magnificent lighting displays, and visual geometry precisely coordinated with their electronic virtuosity.

Disclosure keeps their ideas fresh by collaborating with other artists. They are known as well for their trademark white line drawing portraits as they are for recording and performing with Mary J. Blige, Lorde, Sam Smith, Usher and many more. Their synth-pop sounds and unique musical blends are bringing the unexpected together.

Four singles from the Caracal album have been released so far in video format for YouTube; featuring collaborative artists. They are clever videos with a linked story line. The story unfolds in each single, with interest growing in intensity as fans wait to learn what will happen next. The music videos fictional setting is scientific and dystopian; much like the stage presentations of the Lawrence brothers. The 2016 Tour is designed to present the Caracal album worldwide to fans who enjoy the talent and electronic wizardry of Disclosure.

Tickets are currently on sale.
